Artist Statement

Carolina Alvarado's series, “Damelotuyo” (Gift Me What’s Yours), honors the under-represented contributions of women throughout history. Through a series of paintings unified by a powerful color scheme of red and gold, Carolina celebrates the beauty and strength of female figureheads. Her work is a tribute to women's impact on history and a call to inspire future generations to foster ideals of empathy and tolerance. This collection is dedicated to promoting a more equitable and inclusive society by commemorating the achievements of heroic women worldwide.
