Artist Statement

The beauty of everyday life and its ever-encroaching sense of nostalgia captivate me. I use an array of mediums to transpose my vision, from oils, to acrylics, to collage. 

Female empowerment is a central theme in my work, speaking to the collective strength of women throughout history and capturing a sense of strength, resilience and power that radiates from female figures. I celebrate the courage and ambition of women who have pushed boundaries and defied expectations. 

Through my work, I hope to inspire others to take charge of their own destinies and to fight for their rights and causes. By representing female strength, I invite my audience to express themselves fully and stand up for what they believe in. I strive to create an opportunity for viewers to consider the core of their dispositions and be moved by the canvas before them. 

To channel my various energies, I attempt to delve deeper into my own conscience by immersing myself in an inventive creative process. I am drawn to mixed media to convey distinctive concepts through my artwork. When making work, I think about finding new ways to build depth and mood through seemingly transparent elements. Mixing mediums has become a never ending pursuit with the aim of igniting a spark within the viewer of self-exploration and adventure of inner revelation.
